Taking the abbreviations out of this thread and adding some of my own, I have a list of 45 that I will give to Bobby to upload. I am interested in getting as many of the international abbreviations in there as possible. Most of the ones that I know are US and we have an international forum. I'd like all members to be able to use this equally. Please keep posting as many as you can think of.

how about USN for united states note, and FRN for federal reserve notes FRBN for federal reserve Bank note and as pertanining to notes Ch.CU Choice Crisp UNC and so on

and how about basic metals associated with coins cu=for copper, au-for gold, ag=for silver, Ni=nickel,Zn-for zinc CN=forcopper nickel and so on, or for errors RPM =repunched mintmark, HTT hard times tokens, or cc for carson city C for charlotte and so on

Many acronyms are included in this glossary. Its amazing how many technical terms, slang, and acronyms we use when talking about numismatics.
