It is very difficult for me to obtain the different examples, so I attempt to buy, when the opportunity presents itself, (and I am able to make my move). A favor: Do you happen to have the same info, but pertyaining to 2007, 2008, and what ever there is availablr for 2009? TheForce Pillar of the Community United States 4870 Posts	Posted 09/06/2009 5:25 pm I guess I am more interested in the regular varieties of a particular date (ex. top date, bottom date, mint mark, dual date, etc...)rather than the finish the coin has or its precious metals counterpart. t_y Pillar of the Community Canada 632 Posts	Posted 09/06/2009 5:36 pm business strikes are more interesting mainly because the errors one can find (in my opinion) but it is a short series and easy to get and complete - the more expensive coin can be found for 350.00 and all business strikes can be fished out of circulation. There are no rarities (outside errors) or expensive coins truth is, as I already said many times, if I sell all my twoonies I won't have enough money to buy a top 1948 dollar. I was expecting the '07, '08, '09, but you made the whole list for me, as it turns out. I don't know of a particular numbering system, (and it would be helpful for one who is not familiar with the Canadian coinage, other than that which is in the Catalogues. It would make detrermining which item one has in hand, to identify) The cataliogue has the pertinant information, but no system which would identify which particular coin one has in hand. I think your numbering system will serve you well, and in view of no other alternative, I too, will use it as well, thank you! Our system is easy to understand. If you can read the date, you have the coin. Now that does NOT apply to those of us who seek varieties, that DIE varieties. There the cheese gets very binding! But that is another subject. I search foe the varieties of the cents, because they are easier to obtain, and I also have a short list of varieties, many that are not well known, but one of your Canadian feriends, has a book with about 2000, give a few, or take a few. Those, and the die clash are my favorites. Thanks again for taking time to list all the ones you listed. I made a print=out, and it will come in very hande, in the coming years. If some of the words are not spelled right, it is not due to my spelling abilities. On the contrary. I am legally blind, and do not see the key I intend to use everytime, and it is a bit confusing, trying to read what comes out. I attempt to proof-read, but that only makes it worse. I can't make a line, and put the pen back in the same spot, twice in a row. I use a scope for viewing my coins, and use the camser software for placing an image on a monitor, or the TV screen. If it is BIG, I can see enough to see details, too. It comes with the territory. I'm 85. Dick Report this Post to the Staff

English is not even my second language but I will survive, hopefully sharp for as long as you I am in the process of writing the "TTB" - Twoonie, The Book therefore the numbering system and more importantly a rarity scale (currently with 7 grades) and a grading system (I keep saying bimetallic coins have to be graded taking into account everything in its fabrication is different from the usual (boring) unimetal - anyone who ever had in hand an unimetal twoonie (errors) will understand what I mean) are important. (one has to breath somewhere in the middle of the sentence to understand it) Report this Post to the Staff

You don't have any trouble getting the PL, and proof sets, etc. I am trying to continue several sets that I bought some time back, and need some way to buy them, here in the US. No problem buying the "mint" sets, (PL equivalent), and the prood, both clad, ansd silver proof sets from the mint, here in the US.. I have a question, but I'm not sure you can help, with it. I tried to join the.....( I can't recall the letters, but it is the PL, and uncircuulatged club). I thought they could help. But, I can't get in, logged in, or even register.
