Most "Buffalo" Were Killed! Now We Know Why!

I see that too, just trying to guess what joefinds is talking about.

everything mentioned is on EVERY Buffalo nickel except the black mark so that is the only thing that he could be talking about but don't know what the big deal is supposed to be because it is just something on the coin that is not supposed to be there. Since it seems no one has looked at a Buffalo nickel closely here is a picture of the way they look (without the black mark)

Really! well, to be specific, at the base of the hump of the shoulders -level with the top of the neck. The first letter , the center of that letter is black! And the last letter , the center of the letter is black also. Only one letter inbetween them. So from the wery back of the hump where the shaggy hair and smooth body meet, it creats a line that points at about 8:00 - the letters are sitting right on top of that line in the hump.
If you can't see this three letter word, it must be a message Just to me?

Enough of the clandestine "Do you see what I see" posts. If you think you see something in your photos, edit them and place lines or circles around what you would like clarification on. At a minimum you are confusing new members that are trying to learn numismatics. Your grasp on varieties and errors is very weak. We will help you, and try to lead you in the right direction so everyone can learn, but posts like your latest one here is not helping. Apparently my last post asking you to be more specific didn't sink in all of the way. The attempt was there I guess, but it still seems like you like a good mystery. We do not.

I put my decoder ring on again(For the last time mind you), and I'm thinking that you somehow see letters of some sort in the buffalo's hump? Also, if you are talking about the yellow/brown line running through the "U" in United at the edge of the coin, it looks like residue of some type.

I think you are trying too hard once again to find something. This is a worn nickel, no more, no less.

Okay Joe, I finally see what you have been talking about (I think). If you had not 'spelled' it out, I doubt that anyone other than you would ever have seen it though. This is a real difficult 'where's waldo' type of picture, and a person would have to be in a certain state of mind to dwell on staring blankly at a close up long enough to see things. I do believe that some folks do this when they are looking for phantom 'E's on Morgan dollars. If a person stares long enough at something, the mind will play tricks, and you might even be able to see the Preamble of the Constitution in that buffalo hide. I suggest; do not stare too hard or too long searching for things are unknown, but rather search out and become familiar with those features that 'are' known to exist.
