Mine is just off to the side of the S between Abe's chest. It is kind of angled, leaning toward him. I have several other 44's and nothing is like this one...

Yeah, I recall that mine is angled too. Almost on it's side I think.

Definatly something.....Looked at hundreds of pennies so far and this is the only one like it. Lot's of 55's, no double dies, but found a very nice 1915 and 1917 so far as well...

In 1909 till now there was never a p marked coin but when West pioint mint opened in 1980 something It produce regular change to without a mark so it might be a "p" marked coin by the chance the D marked die had a crack to make it look like a "P"
Rest in Peace

I found something similar years ago, and thought it was another mint mark. Turned out there was something there, but not a mintmark.

Okay, I have my penny out. The one with a floating D. I just looked through it with a loupe and I am convinced it is a D. The date is 1992. The D is above the number 1 and next to Abe's chin. I tried taking pics of it a few months ago and I could'nt get this mark to show. I'll try it again later tonight or tomorrow. I am busy packing for my move and things are pretty hectic here. I hope I can a decent pic.

I don't know.....May be something or it may not be. I am not going to worry about it. So far I have found a 1911,1912,1913,1914,(2)1916,1917,1926, a lot of 30's and 40's, tons of 50's.....nothing to exiting.....

It is VERY interesting to go through a large hoard of "unknown coins"

Enjoy!

Sorry guys. And gals. I can't get the D to show. I'm getting a new laptop in a month or two and I won't be able to do it until then. I really want to post it here because I'd like to know what everyone thinks.
