Artido,
did you wear "older steamed up " glasses when you looked at the grades? or a few beers?
Or even better, maybe you bought a lot of beer for the grader.....

If I look at some of mine, done in toronto, then I say YOU must know the right people to get such grades...
MO: there is NO way these coins would reach these grades today.
again, just looked at some of mine....Maybe I should raise a lot of noise down on Yonge street?
mmmm mmmm

All I can say is I wish I would have kept them in the holders... Only for re sale of course....
My self personaly I would sell the 70 at a grade of EF 40-45 and the 90 VF 25-30 depending.....But due to rarity on higher grades? I say MS on both ( hahaha Kidding )

I have had over 1000 of the Toronto graded coins and all I can say if consistency is what people think ..WRONG... I can show coins that say EF that I would call VF at best ( over graded) and others the complete opposite......So I guess it all depends on who you are and how much you spend with certain grading firms...

OK that sounds more reasonable. Of course haggling over five points in this case is still an expensive proposition.

For sure it is expensive Ugly, but we all know just how hard it is to find beauties like this, and I guess the firms allow more tolerance on grades... Have a look at these two...It blows my mind..

Right, but now we're back to the whole "grading standards issue". I think if the rims were better on your 70 then who knows? The truth however is I don't even really know what methods they follow as they process a coins grading because they all claim to just follow the published guides - well you know the rest.

Maybe it depends on how good the coffee was today or whether or not you added that spare BC-39cA CUNC into the shipment and didn't put on the grading list.

To be sure, I'd be darn glad to have a sample as nice as yours, the details really are very attractive. Then on the other hand I think I could improve my sovereigns collection for that kind of dough and be in a way less risky position as it relates to value determined by a TPG.

I am glade to read this post because I find the same thing. I see coins that are graded over and under all the time , I don't like the holders either to cumbersome , I like the album idea.

Send these two pieces off to I.C.C.S. for a slabbing, you''ll get your money back and then some. The coins in I.C.C.S. slabs always receive the highest returns and most transactions can be done sight unseen!
