Apparently he knows how to tell a dateless 1916 from a 1917 just like you. If you can't get over getting out bid on an auction a month ago maybe you should pad your computer with bubble wrap so your feelings don't get hurt. |

I agree with Cownas. Johnny is a great and knowledgeable guy, too bad if you're jealous of his coin knowledge.  No one ever mentioned anything about you being a "not knowledgeable and smart" collector, so please correct me if I'm wrong. |

Coins are just "things"... they aren't worth giving yourself an ulcer over. Good luck to you, Terror.

I speculate that there is more going on in his life than just a lost auction. If this is the case, I sincerely hope he can work it out.

every time a member leaves CCF, its like losing a family member for me. no matter if they are grumpy, sad or REALLY mad, I miss them. I REALY hope you can stay, can you just try and leave for maybe 2 days and than comeback and see if you are okay? try not to interact with johnny's posts for a little bit, and cool down, and forgive him, and possibly apologize.

I'm pretty sure JimR was not referencing you Adam E.  And I agree with you. I think we on this Forum can all get along with a bit of humility and a sense of shared purpose. We're here to help each other. |

If you look at the top left corner of the page, you will see that "CCF" stands for Coin Community FAMILY. And since being a member here for close to 4 years, I can definitely say that this forum has a close family "feeling". I am just not feeling that with you with your post. I agree that Johnny has handled his reply with grace and class ...... not sure I would be able to do the same in his shoes.
Laffa (do we still call you by that name?) .... JimR was not referring to your reply ..... your comment was appropriate and on the mark ...... no worries.
The CCF is a great place to hang out ..... and like all Internet bodies of people we will have our occasional outlier personalities ..... but the goodness of the site and it's people continue on.

I am sorry to see that you are leaving. I am also sorry to see that you couldn't have handled this in a more mature way. You win some, you loose some. If you loose, you say oh well, and look for another deal. It doesn't matter if you like everybody, you never say it.
