Thanks guys. I didn't mention it in the original post, but it was also the
last coin missing from my $2 gold set, so I am very happy indeed!

It's nice to have a conclusion to this thread. I got the four different gold $2 together for a picture (a fairly bad one, unfortunately). I like how the reverse of each year is different (well, technically the '96 and '06 are the same, but you can tell which is which instantly because of one having the 22k inner, and the other a 22k outer). Total price excluding shipping/taxes was 78% of mint price to assemble the set. It's pretty hard to go wrong at that price!

Edit: slightly better picture, but I'm finding it really hard to take
a picture of these because they are so reflective.

According to the numbers I have saved on file, the '96-'99-'00 are each 0.1849 ounces of gold, the 2006 0.329 ounces. The mint never released 2006 individual ring/core weights, so my number should be close, but may not be exact.

This puts to melt value of the 96-99-00 coins at over $250 USD, and the 2006
well in excess of $400. Crazy times for gold!

There's nothing wrong with NGC, I just don't see the motivation to grade these. Once in a while you see ICCS graded ones too. When I started this thread, $400 for one was a good deal, now due to the relentless rise of gold, you would be lucky indeed to get one under $500. $550 is still too high though, IMO.
