I thought that the 1962 D looked familiar.
I found some shots I took of a 1964 D LMC
that I have that looks very close.
I have been informed that it may be a cut down
coin meant to fool vending machines back then
that it was a dime. Also been informed it may be
a wrong planchet strike. more research will have to be done.
When time permits.

Sure, print an example of the image and you will get as real as this coin is. All the other coins are not real as well. Interesting to figure out why they can't be real. Just fantasy.

Coop,
Love the shifting 2007 LMC (TOOOOOOOOO MANY BEERS)

Dear Coin Community,
I have a 2007 Lincoln Memorial cent that looks like it has very strong doubling to the South East,Wait No it is to the North East.
UhOh now it is to the West. Oh crap now it is to the North West.
Oh forget it. I just figured it out. I looked down to get my eyes un crossed and saw the 16 empty beer cans in the waste basket.

The first coin was, of course , acid treated.

Stewart's coin was ground down after it left the Mint. It is simply damaged.

Thanks,
Bill

Coop,

I liked the front plate number on that dollar. I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations. And this is my counterpart R2D2.

Stewart's 1964-D cent was trimmed with a hollow punch. You can see characteristic downwarping of the reverse periphery and flattening on the obverse periphery.

MikeDiamond,
Thank You for that input on my 1964 D.
Do you know if the story I was told is true that people use to cut them
down like that to fool vending machines into thinking it was a dime?
I have always been fascinated by the things that people do to coins in the past. The story of the 1883 Liberty "V" nickel being called the
"Racketeer" nickel and the things people did to it is one of the
reasons when I see nice example of one I have to buy it.
have never run across one with the gold coating still on it yet though.
