Yea, I spent most of the weekend on it, and some time the last few nights. Almost blew up the power circuits because I tried linking them in series in stead of paralel. luckily I caught my mistake before any damage was done.

Looking forward to hearing how this works for you. Would be interesting to see it in action. Would you post a video on youtube or something for us to see?

I find it really interesting and really, really glad it's you, not me doing this. For me I'd just take them all to a bank and let them do that. Of course lately they are charging for that.

lol. Well tonight I got the feeding problem I was having solved.. I don't think I can completely eliminate the possibility for jams.. but now it only averages a small one (easily cleared) ever 15-20 rolls. I think tomorrow ill shoot a quick video and post it for everyone to see.
Now to figure out the high volume supply system. : /
After that... dunno.
Any suggestions on features or anything?

your funnel problem, how did you solve it?
do you think if you had a V design ( think of the inside of a V-hull boat) it would create a little less flat surface friction on the edges of 2 coins trying to go into the opening right before the comparator at the same time? the only thing I can see with that would be changing the opening to the comparator to accommodate the angle, or a flat "slide" just past the opening- which would mean more distance between the sorter funnel and the comparator

I just raised the sorter and increased the drop angle by about 10 degrees. That did the trick. the force of gravity is now stronger than the friction.

Its been on kind of a stand still. still in the process of moving into and buying a new house. Also we just got a new kitten today... haven't really had time to work on finishing it.
