That would be a sweet pickup if it is the overdate. I'm hoping for you. Keep us updated!

Thanks scooby. I'll post the coin when I get it in hand. I'm certainly not counting on it this time.

It does look similar to the other examples you posted. Either way, it would still be a good deal. Good luck!

Don't you go and get my hopes up now... sheesh, I don't even know what I'd do with a $10,000 18/7-s. After running around the house screaming for a couple of days, I guess I'd send it off to ANACS and then consult Heritage for the sale.

pft, I would keep it. Slabbed of course. Basically money in the bank, with a better return of investment if you ask me.

I wouldn't keep a $10,000 coin that I didn't collect. I like SLQs, but am not really into varieties, so I'd sell it and dump the money into coins I collect, and buy something for my wife...

Ok, now it's time for me to wake up...

Hmmmm...The picture does look like an 1818/7 overdate...

(Johnny! Calm down and quit running around the house like that!)

Hopefully sometime this week. It will be interesting to see what is making it looks over-datish. I just hope someone didn't jack up a perfectly good 18-s with irreversible alterations.

Well, I hate to disappoint you all too much, but it certainly isn't the overdate. But I really didn't expect it to be. I suppose there was some pixelation issues in the sellers thumb size photo.

What I got however was a very nice problem free 1918-s, and probably the highest grade of SLQ I own outside of my type examples. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased.

It's a nice coin. I'd put it at AU50++
