Paypal can, as the show you on the invoice.

True...I just can't see how it matters. Paypal does not charge auction fees; they charge for the movement of money. The fee would (and should) also apply to any sales taxes in the transaction.

ebay owns Paypal. Don't get me wrong, I like ebay for true market value. I also like Paypal for the convienece factor. The main thing that is bad is that the seller is responsible for all of the charges. In the real world of auctions there is a seller's and buyer's premium. Because the seller has the sole responsibility on ebay and Paypal, it makes it more like an e-commerce store rather than an auction site. Until there is some serious competition online things will never change. There are a few promising canidates right now, but if ebay feels threatened they will just buy them out.

Yeah, and unfortunately that is by design.

It seems like there are more high-priced buy-it-nows than ever, creating nothing but clutter. I wish a completed listing search could filter out items that didn't sell (showing only the "green" items).

I've taken the advice of the members, and relisted the item with no reserve and a $200 minimum bid. I've also increased the length of the auction to 7 days, instead of 3. Lets see how this works. If it still doesn't sell, it gets packed away.

After reviewing your listing further, I see other potential road blocks. First off, your feedback is 100%, but you have only 3 as a seller this year and they were all this month. You only show 7 transaction as a seller total. Before the 3 this month it was 2008 when you last sold, then 2007, 2004, 2001. Not a very strong track record as a seller. This tends to make bidders a bit cautious. Especially when you jump from a $6.50 transaction to a potential $200 transaction. I personally think you have a nice product. I also feel you are asking a decent price. I am just giving you my opinion as to why you may not have success with this one.

Seal,
Some people just can't be satisfied. I don't mean you, but I do mean anyone who looks at the fact that I haven't sold much on ebay. Yes, My feedback is 100%. That's because I buy, I pay, and I leave feedback. As far as selling, I only sell, when I have something of value. I don't just post anything erroneously, and say "Hey! buy this!". People will have to decide if they actually want what it is I'm offering. If they do, then buy it. If they don't , move on. Either way, it makes little difference to me. I already own it. I'm sure not going to beg people to buy it. It's a scarce set, at the very least. How many have you seen, in person? If folks want to over analyze, and talk themselves out of it, oh well.
