I'm glad you can see it MrCanada. It's much more pronounced in hand than it is in the scan. I was pretty happy to finally cross this one off the list !

For pennies that was my last, but they always seem to find another variety to keep me hunting, like the 06.

Congrats - I've found one George V (1928) in a U.S. roll, and I hope to find more. They're pretty rare down here but I love the design. I may have to take a trip North of the Border to pick up some rolls!!

Wow, the best I can find is George heads from the 1940s. That's a great box indeed! Sometimes I find more Zincolns than overall coppers, although I found 4 Wheaties in this Canadian box.

Very nice, oldest George I've found is a 39.... I find it easier to find wheats here then George's sometimes. Oldest wheat find is a 1919!

edit : Nice timing, 4 rolls into this box and now the oldest is a 38

I just found at least 15+ common 1960's pennies in a coin jar. What are these "Boxes" people keep talking about from banks?

Banks get change in "boxes" from either a federal reserve or 3rd parties. US boxes are as follows 1c 25$, 5c $100, 10c $250, 25c $500, 50c $500

I started doing this a month ago.It is time consuming and so far not much rewarding but still a lot of fun.I am getting a fair number of AU pieces from the 1970's and 80's.So far 3 foreign coins as well.A 1980 Barbados 1 cent,a 2005 Republika Hrvatska 5 Lira and a England 1997 1 Penny that I will pass to my grandson. Also found countless USA 1 cents and 2 US dimes.

Just completed my first two boxes...so happy! Found complete years from 1940 to the present...and a very pretty 2006 unmarked magnetic! This is a blast. I have my daughter helping out too, hopefully she learns to appreciate the uniqueness rather than the monetary value of this hobby.

Forgot to mention in my above post that along with the American pennies and dimes you find in Candian penny rolls I also found a Penny from Zimbabwe 1980 for interesting looks.

haven't found a George V until 2 weeks ago, very good shape 1933 in 20 rolls, I found a 1929 last week. I also found in the same 20 rolls 10 George VI, normally I find 2-3.
