I always thought they were just a myth. I've heard there are only 5 known coins and each worth $500,000. That wouldn't even pay for half of my 1804 Draped Bust so I'll just stop looking for one.

The coin is slabbed with the shows name on it I think. Didn't it auction for 3.7 million last year?

Quote: It was odd that on that show no one even noticed that that coin was different from other present day Nickels. We spent a 1910 V nickel at Dairy Queen a couple of weeks ago, for fun. The cashier was a little hesitant at first, until we told her we were putting it back in circulation on purpose.

Oddly enough that show is being broadcasted constantly on standard TV stations in Illinois. For those without cable or a dish, there is this massive amount of stations in Illinois with oldies all the time. I presently get well over 50 channels with an antenna. One is WCIU with several sub stations called 23-1, 23-2, 26-1 to 26-4. As I noted I just saw this episode a few days ago. It's on almost every day and not on CBS or that Hulu, whatever that is. Almost every old program you can think of is being aired every day. Lots of the old West ones like Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel and many, many more. On 26-4 there is a constant flow of old movies all day and night. And if you like the 3 Stooges, their on for several hours on Saturday right before that horror show thing. Not sure but I think Hawii50 is on almost every day.

Over the air we have a digital sub-channel (7.2) that is part of the Retro Television Network. However, RTV does not list Hawaii Five-O as one of their programmed shows. I suppose one could always purchase the DVD set for season six.

RTV is where I get my fix of Emergency!, Air Wolf, Knight Rider, and The A-Team(my childhood favorites) Hawaii Five-0 was in their rotation a few years ago, that is how I managed to catch the episode in question.

I just looked it up and Hawii Five 0 is on every day at 11:00AM till noon on what is channel 26-3. Think I heard they say it is also on a Cable station of some type every day also. Sort of like Perry Mason. That one is one about two times a day here.

I can see I'll have to upgrade my cable now. I get excited when PBS shows "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" or puts on Masterpiece Theater.

Not sure by you but around the Illinois area don't need cable or a dish. And many of the so called no longer Analog stations are still on too. 48 here is one of them. My favoritie is KBC 41. 25 is that silly HSN and they sometimes have coins but usually a joke for prices. Like I said I get well over 50 stations with an antenna.

Chicago, been there many times, "Da Bears", "Da Bulls", "Da Hawks" (hey, how bout "dem Hawks"!!) all that and great TV too. All I get is static without cable. I wish we had the services of a metropolitan area like Chicago. (I used to enjoy just walking along the lake on the break wall, You guys used to have one heck of a 4Th of July party too..) Anyway, we still roll up the sidewalks at 7PM here. Everyone that used to think Gloucester VA was up-to-date, moved to Kansas City. Our local paper still costs just a nickle.

To bad since you were here last the River Walk is being extended from Wacker Drive all the way to the Lake. Really something to see and walk along. And all levels of Wacker Drive are being redone. Now if there could only be a decent coin store in all that. As big as many large cities, like Chicago are, mostly coin shows and decent coin stores are outside the City.
