@Adam_E: Of course it's a Type 1!

It looks like a 1917 to me, but if you post in the Classic Coins forum, maybe the master (johnny54321) can tell for sure.

I always use the drapery by the right foot as my indicator. If it's touching the pedestal then it is a 1917. If not than it could be a 1916. This one is clearly touching, but is more worn than any other example I've seen. Definitely P1.

Any P01 1916 would not have any visible shield rivets.

Actually a PO1 would show weak rivets on about half the shield.

Definite 1917.

The pic is horrible. The fold in the drapery is tough to see at all (right arm), as is the rest of the coins details. Probably a 1917, but I'd need better pics to be 100% sure.

Potential-1916-SLQ-In-Ebay-Lot?

Kind of blurry but it looks (to me) to be a 1917.

wheatguy, my AG3 shield shows nothing as far as rivets go, and I would not expect that to get better with even heavier wear.

That's really strange, since these on Heritage shows rivets on the shield:

I may be wrong with my definitions, since I always thought rivets were the little dots around the shield.

Definitely a 1917 to the OP.

Wheatguy: The AG3 examples you showed are stronger than Nod's example. On mine, a few "blobs" of rivets are apparent in the more protected area next to the drapery. The bottom line is that they are very weak and indistinct on the 16, while they are bold on the 17 all the way down to PR1.
