Got excited for half a second - thinking I found another Cud.
Guess it's just a folded over Rim Fin.
Thought that it's a nice enough example to share, anyway.

what happened to the rim at K10?

PMD - just a hit to the rim, pushing metal.

Ya know - it could easily be a "Banged Over" piece of metal - I always prefer to see the obvious until proven otherwise........don't get mad at a coin collector that has seen everything and has to question it for 50 years -

I don't know that I would be able to tell the difference between a folded over Rim Fin and a Cud.

Marv65;
Not at all. Learning what, and how, to question a coins authenticity, is one of the things I'm trying to learn. Some of my posts have been questioned, and changed, some not. I value every one of them.
An antique dealer (friend) once told me: " Don't look at an item as real and then look for flaws. Look at an item as a fake, then look for details, which proves it's real."
All that said: I'll look at the quarter again (later today) to see if I can see anything else. I am assuming that by "banged over", that you mean some sort of PMD.

Nickelsearcher;
I went with folded Rim Fin over Cud, because of what looks like a well defined edge. You can almost see a separation.
But, that might also be why Marv65 questioned if it is "banged over"
