eh, give em a break, I've used stock pics that weren't mine because I couldn't take good (if any) pics.

You will have to file a report with e-bays VeRO (Verified rights owner program). You will have to fax your complaint and provide documentation that the photos are yours. If you posted the pic on an earlier auction then that should be enough proof.
Here is the link to find out how to report this person.

Hope this helps

I have never listed them on ebay just here on the B/S/T section.

Well, if he would have stated he was using a stock pic then that MIGHT be a different story. Just think if someone where to actually bid on these thinking that these are the coins that they are going to be receiving.

He is not selling them anyway, I checked the auction just now, there was 5 min left, and NO bids. Doubt if anybody will do a last minute snipe bid.

Looks like he's running 24 hour auctions. Newbie seller with no sales yet and using "stock" pictures that are defiantly different from the description.

I'd still report him with links to every listing. Give your proof from the CCF auction and hopefully he'll be canned. I'd also e-mail him with the proof that he's stealin your image and maybe he'll delete himself. Maybe he thought it was a stock image he found on a Google images search.

Maybe he should have said "I recently found a nice stash of pics".

Have you tried contacting him directly to see what he has to say? Maybe he just inherited the coins and now he thinks he's a coin dealer. Maybe he doesn't know how seriously we take those pics. Might be a newbie mistake, might not. Maybe he thinks that's what everybody does. Who knows?

Then if he's a jerk, definitely report him.

Although, I did like the part about AU/Unc's with readable dates!

One thing that I have learned on this forum: ebay is a rough place for coins!

I would suggest only the most street wise of us should bid on ebay!

Looks like he was running two auctions with the same pics and one did actually sell:

I believe ebay won't do anything unless the copied pics can be traced to a prior ebay auction.

Trust me, e-bay will act swiftly when one files a report with vERO. I had to report a person who copied and pasted a logo I designed in their listing. I faxed the report and within one day that person was no longer a registered user.
Also under the guidlines for "raw coins" no stock photos are to be used, it is a violation.

ebay will act because this is a copyright violation. An image, just like a story, is copyrighted as soon as you take it, so it can't be used without your permission. ebay does act quickly when it comes to legal violations.

Yeah. I wouldn't like that either. Makes me wonder how many coin pics are snatched from our forums?
I should start watermarking photos that are mine.

That's a good idea. I just reported it through the "report ebay auction violations" link here on the forum. I received an email saying they were in fact in violation and the auctions had been removed. The auctions had already ended but now when I click the link it says that they have been removed.
