It always makes me cringe when I see coins that should not be touching others stacked up in tubes and laid out like that. I don't know if they suffer any further contact marks but I have never been interested in a solid roll of proof coins no matter what they are. It is my guess, that these are the lesser desirable "culls" if you will from somebody cutting up proof sets for deep cameo or PR 68 to PR70 specimens and just bulk packaging the others for wholesale.
I am not knocking these coins, they are what they are but at some point they deserve a 2x2 of their own I would think. Poor little quarters, I feel sorry for them I guess. Last one out is a rotten egg!

If 2x2's are the right storage for them then I'll put the quarters in them. I got these at my first coin show this past Saturday, under melt for two rolls of these. The gentlemen just told me if I were to ever take them out to use cotton gloves. I'd prefer them in 2x2's, can't really show them to anyone in these tubes. Thanks for the advice.

What's the average price for 100 2x2's? I see them going on ebay for $5-$8 shipped.

Based on the pics, I'd say they're worth a little more than scrap and all < 65 if they'd even grade. I see scratches, heavy spotting, dings, and I think, even some fingerprints. It pains me to see a roll of these proofs just laid out like that. Of course, these were probably already culls like someone mentioned. Just put them back in the tube and sell them on ebay. Silver's doing weell.

Heh, I must have done pretty good earlier this year. I got three 1964 proof Washingtons, including one with terrific toning, for $9, shipped.

These 2 rolls cost me $300. That came out to $3.75 per coin. I also got a few Barber dimes, walking liberty's, and my first morgan(all for under melt).

Bvalania if you don't mind me asking what kind of camera is that your using to take those pics.
I think they came out pretty well. Did you have to shoot a bunch to get those couple of pics.

And anyone have any ideas on what to do with $25 bags of ABP Quarters. Every Time I look at the bags sitting on my table I cringe thinking about moving them. Just yesterday I took two bags and rolled them up real careful. Should I invest the time of 2x2s or you think if the rolls aren't bothered they will be ok. Of course I put the rolls back into the bags lol.
