He knows it is fake and is trying to circumvent the rules by saying he is not sure and taking no returns.I had a dealer do this with a 1909-S vdb, then actually refuse my refund. ebay did make it good in the end.

yeah anytime a seller puts in their description that they can not prove its authentic, they usually know its not. A honest seller wouldn't ever question the authenticity and would do research to make sure it was real before trying to sell to someone else. Well I guess I should say,I would anyway and I believe any other seller should as well

I just reported it myself. I would hope others here reported it also.

Bryan I would disagree. I can see an honest seller stating that they can't be sure if an item is authentic, but tey would not try and make it no returns and will typically state that if it is found not to be real they will do a full refund.

conder, I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was saying 9 out of 10 times if they put that they can't guarantee its authentic in the description its because they know it isn't, and a honest seller would never question the authenticity (they know nothing about the coin and know nothing about fakes) so there would be no need to put that in their statement in there. If they thought there was a question on authenticity they would do what ever they could to try and find out the authenticity of what they were selling. That is like if I was selling a expensive watch (I know nothing about watches) if I didn't know there were fakes of them out there I wouldn't question the authenticity of it. If I sold a watch and had heard there are fakes out there I would do what ever I could do to try and see if it was fake. Yes I would offer a return (since I offer returns even on slabbed coins) so if it was fake it wouldn't matter

I did not get a chance to see the coin, I'm assuming it was raw.
Again, don't buy ANY key date raw unless you know what you are doing.
Especially on ebay.
