Ordered mine 3 days ago and just received them today. And that's "way down yonder in in the Papaw Patch"; that is southeastern Virginia. They are beauties. I think I like the Locomotive coin as well. Just curious, are you folks keeping yours in the display case? It seems to me the the RCM and USM are going way overboard on display cases lately. Don't misunderstand, the maple case is beautiful, but is it that important? Seems to be a waste of a perfectly good maple. The USM did the same thing to the UHR Eagle with that rosewood case. No one wanted the case, just the coin.

Wow - in just 3 days! That's extraordinary. You must be a good customer.
The display case counts for me and I will surely keep it because of the extra large stamps... I don't collect and have nowhere else to store the stamps. I think buyers should have a choice to buy with, or without the case. The Mint offered this on their pure gold coins years ago. You could save a few bucks if you bought the raw coin. Those cases are in very high demand nowadays.

Not really, a few hundred a year. They must know I'm originally from the Great Lakes Area. Eh!

Well, guess what... it's sold out at the Mint (Dec 8 2010). You placed your orders just in time!

Oddly, the $10 blue whale (sold out) has the same specifications as other $20 proof coins that have been issued recently. Just one of those things about NCLT I suppose. (Note: Vancouver Olympic $25 also have the same specs, but they have selective holograms which could justify the face value differential).

Anyone have a good theory on the demand for the Moose?
And why is something considered sold out if the actual mintage was 1/2 the planned?

Oh that... in my chart this represents the status at the coin shop (J&M). They don't have any in stock, and rarely do. This coin was not a sell out at the Mint... none of them were, except for the last one, the $10 whale coin.
