Quote: Wait a minute...You have 140 1921s? OMG. No, I generally don't hold them. I only have about 30 right now, but I have high-res shots of many more which have passed through my hands.

So what are we doing here? Posting a pic of a Morgan each day starting with the 78 and then each consecutive year every day after that?

Quote: So what are we doing here? Posting a pic of a Morgan each day starting with the 78 and then each consecutive year every day after that? Precisely, just like Moe's threads. Starting Tuesday. The date is calculated because 1895 is going to be a pretty slim year, and that year will fall on New Year's Eve when there will likely be little traffic here.

Yes! now I can participate in one of these. Moe's thread still has me inspired to get a few CBHs. This is going to be a MASSIVE thread.

Quote: I may have a couple to post on the 14th Bryan, as you know, I've got a few of my own. I would very much like to start the thread with yours - I'm gonna poof this thread and start a fresh one on that day - so I'd be very pleased if you would email me your best shots of the coin and your others. That would allow me to start the first thread in style. With credit to the owner, of course. I'm on vacation now, and will be then as well, so I have plenty of time to do this right. And we'll be dropping something very special on the last day.

I'd like to participate in this thread, but, with the exception of a few of my Morgans, I've only scanned, and saved, the obverse of each in my computer. All my completed sets (including the Morgans) are sitting in a box at the bank - live alone, disabled, don't drive, and no way I can walk that far, so, if posting my obverse scans will be acceptable, then I can jump in. If not, I'll have to pass. Oh, I do have the reverse scans in the members photo galleries, but they're scans of the album pages rather than the individual coins (scans of the obverse there, too). I guess you could look at the obverse scan here, and then go over to the photo galleries to view the reverse - sounds like alot of work just to view a bunch of circulated coins, but I just don't have any other way to do it right now. Let me know.

I'm excited! My pictures are put together in sets of 4 years, so I'll post 1878-1881 when 1881 comes up.

Quote: Moe145 has already done this twice, with great success, for other issues. It should be noted that a full two-thirds of my Morgan dollar collection came from Moe. Of course, I only have three Morgan dollars in my collection, so...

I'm really looking forward to posting my Morgans by date! Now I just have to figure out how to download my photographs into a posting!
