I will be receiving better pictures tomorrow, I will post them here...hoping you guys can give some clear feedback (as always )

I guess that will be a bargain then, because the seller seems sure of it's authenticity! And hopefully you guys can also tell if his Grading is correct (PR = comparable to XF) so that means €400 according to the catalogue (but I know that the seller is selling coins and lots for a few months now often for extremely low prices, just hope no one else will bid me out of it when genuine)

if it is too good to be true, than it probably is, as the old saying goes.
why did the seller choose to sell it for 30 euros instead of putting it to ebay for about 100-120 euros? It does make that price if it is a real mule 1860 farthing very easily.
blurred pictures are a bad sign in my book as I had a terrible experience with them involving a local seller here
so.. Buyer beware! But I am also looking forward to see high grade photos tomorrow. But if I was a betting man, I wouldn't put my money on that, bacuse of the unclear photos.

so many older people with no digital skills at all are selling their coins by the loads, often they don't even know what ebay is... This website is like a Dutch Local Craiglist or how ever it's called it's easy and free! If you check the link and go to the sellers other stuff, you can clearly see a lot of the pics are sketchy.. but the coins are real, I know because I bought at him before.

For example he sells a lot of modern coins from turkey, putting the total 'supposed' catalog value at the description area, lets'say €300... and he sells it for €10. Some people have kilo's of coins of one and the same country'and they sell it for cheap. Anyway what my point is, I know that 90% of the time when something sounds to good it probably isn't real, but every once in a while you can spot those 10% that is real, and then you have to get that chance... right?!

Ah well, like you said we will just have to wait untill tomorrow... but I'm excited :)

No, you need the other side!

I think it's already clear enough it has toothed border on the obverse. The question now is whether it has beaded border on the reverse!

Hey molydeii,
I asked the seller to put it on the side for coming January (which it is now ), because my budget was a bit low in december...

But thanks for reminding hahahh, almost forgot this one... I will e-mail the seller for making the arrangements and will post the coin here when it arrived

I'm a little confused--did the seller provide a sharp enough photo of the reverse to determine a beaded border?
I wonder why it's so hard for him to show photographic proof of this variety? I don't see the TB/BB mule--because if I squint my eyes, I see denticles connected to the rim. The beaded border reverse has a clean rim. These photos aren't that great either, but they might help.

I'm still a bit skeptical, but he made it very clear it was the real one, and I know where he bought it from in the past (a fellow coin collector who is also active on the same auction website, by who I also purchased some coins before.) I also made it clear that I want to have the option to return the coin if it appears to be some other variety.

And by the way... Holland is very small, so I can be at his doorstep within the hour But luckily I still received all my coins up to date, and all were real... But I would go to a persons house if I got cheated, and get my money back!

I always make clear arrangements before I buy.. And always hold back the evidence (E-mails, etc.) of every purchase I make. So I just have to wait and see, but that link you psted is copied and saved! Thanks DVCollector

I apologize if I sounded overly skeptical--I just get suspicious with fuzzy pictures.
Good luck with that coin, and please post new pics when it arrives.

The Netherlands may be very small but it's very cold in the winter too. I was amazed by the frozen sea in Volendam! :)
