In my scan are,
1) Aquatics,
2) Athletics,
3) Badminton,
4) Bocchia,
5) Canoeing,
6) Gymnastics,
7) Hockey,
8) Rowing,
9) Table Tennis,
10) Triathlon

Alganbagerap has (on page 2 of this thread)
11) Boxing,
12) Cycling
13) Volleyball

and a quick search on ebay reveals the following (which I don't think have come from packs based on price)
14) Archery
15) Fencing
16) Goalball

Which would suggest that these are the 16 released so far...

Does anybody know why there are dated 2011? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be 2012?

I have three fencing coins now, and got one triathlon.

As to why they are 2011, no idea. In september they knew when they were releasing these coins, all I can assume is that is makes some waves and some more interest, and it also stops the need for different dates on all the coins, which caused problems for the 20p a few years back!!

It's all about profit now, and these things save you mone, i'd have thought!

What was the problem with the 20p coins?

I suppose that these coins could be something of a warmup for the Olympics to get people excited when they find one in their change.
They may release more coins in 2012 for gold medal wins or something.

In 2008 there were two different designts: 11,900,000 (William Gardner design)which has date on the reverse
81,920,000 (New Matthew Dent design)which has the date on the obverse.

Needless to sray, the made a bunch with the old observe and new reverse, thus making a 20 pence which does not have a date on it.

Royal Mint estimates that between 50,000 and 200,000 were released into circulation.

I never found one but I did try before the news hit the press and my bank actually did not have any 20 pence coins for a few days after the story broke.

Out of interest, did they ever mule a two date 20p? Seems logical, if they can screw it up one way............

Image of your coin does not display for me.

According to The Royal Mint:
http://www.royalmint.com/Corporate/...g_coins.aspx

Sporting series
2011 Archery 800,000
Badminton 900,000
Boccia 900,000
Boxing 800,000
Canoeing 800,000
Cycling 400,000
Fencing 1,000,000
Goalball 900,000
Gymnastics 900,000
High Jump 900,000
Hockey 1,000,000
Rowing 700,000
Swimming 1,000,000
Table tennis 1,000,000
Triathlon 1,000,000
Volleyball 1,000,000

So the only difference is what two are called.

Aquatics --> Swimming
Athletics (Kid Designed) --> High Jump

Braveheart, yours is Bocchia, otherwise known as bowls for severely disabled people I think!

You are correct, it is Bocchia according to The Royal Mint web site.

Weird that earlier today, I could not see the picture.
