Good coins.I too use olive oil,the best way to clean it a little and without to remove the patina.

I agree that,this set was 3 months dipped and cleaned with a dental tool.

The coins illustrated would generally sell in the $10 TO $30 range. Age has little to do with value. It's more about supply and demand. As in any collectable, the state of preservation also plays an important role in determining the value.

What about fakes? If common, how can you tell & is there a good online resource to read up on them?
I may pick one up just for the history if nothing else

t0rress that my book is the main guideline when I clean ancient. Yes there are many fakes on the net, but mine are for now are the original and I hope that it will stay that way. Here are a few of those in the last stage of soaking.   |
