2009 because it was a 1 year design, mostly the lp4 because of low mintage. also, I think great condition 2010 cents would be a good one to save. almost every 2010 I get has spots so I think non spotted ones in high ms condition will have a future premium. just opinion. nothing special about 2008 or 2011 though.

I collected all...the problem is, so did everyone else. And there were billions minted each of those years so I don't think any will ever command a large premium because of rarity. Meaning that everyone that wants one can easily get one. If your question is more of asking which year is the most collectible, I would say 2009 because of all the different 1 time, single year designs coupled with the lower mintages for each design.

LP4, lowest mintage. They will always sell at a premium to the others.

I collect 2010 not only because its the first year of the shield but more so because my son, Owen, was born in 2010.

Only one of each in each of 10 Whitman Albums. I really don't like stockpiling coins that may or may not ever be worth the space. Did that once with those stupid Bicentennial Quarters and ended up taking all to a bank.

I have collected all of them except for the 2011 from circulation change. I like all of the designs equally and am eagerly seeking the 2011s.

I have OBR's of all 09's & 10's. I guess I'm stockpiling or hoarding. I think the 2010 will carry a premium.

Quote: Is this "buy it now" price a bit too steep for the 2011 cent?
I think it is. That's 9x face . They just came out, be patient they will drop in price.

I think you're right - they will drop in price after the newness of the 2011's cools down, unless the mintage is less than the 2010's.

Kind of like a new movie...you can pay to be the first to see it, then when it's released for TV, you've forgotten what it's about

I would suggest the same as most. Just collect them all. Not even sure why anyone would just collect one of them. Of course I put almost all my coins in Albums so I need all of those. Really eats up a lot of space with all 20 of the 2009's though. But that is what makes a collection I guess.
