Bryan, does NCS have different levels of service such as Economy, Express, etc? And is Quality Control part of NCS or NGC and if NCS, does that mean you now have to wait for the coins to get finished at NGC before you get them back? I'm not at all certain I would be as patient as you. Fred

NCS doesn't have tiers like NGC, and quality control is NGC, that means the coins have already been conserved and probably graded, they are in quality control at NGC now waiting for final inspection/packaging/shipping. There is no way to track the coins at NCS online you have to wait until they are sent to NGC to track them, the funny thing is they were never updated at all at NGC until they hit quality control so they have probably been there about 7 working days since we only had 3 coins and that probably put us in the higher tier

Boy, is that a great relief! I was sweating bullets over the 1921 not grading. If they don't give that puppy DPL I'm gonna cry.
I wonder if they'll cross the Barber at grade (although they don't know what it cracked from)?

dont know, but I sure did like it (what I saw of it) you better be glad I didn't have the dansco then it may have gotten lost in the mail (jk). As soon as I get the grades I will post them for you. Well you know its gonna grade at NGC because if it wouldn't grade it would have never made it to NGC from NCS

Bryan, I hope your daughter is ok. Pneumonia is no laughing matter! I had it as a kid and it wasn't good. Best wishes for her, you and your family. This waiting is like waiting for Christmas morning! It takes sooooo long!! I can't wait to hear what they come back as.

Guido, she's doing allot better now, thanks for your concerns. I had it when I was young as well and even though I was pretty young I sure do remember those days I had it because I beleive that was the worse I had ever felt until I hurt my back

I just checked emails and this isn't exactly what he was hoping for but I hope he is still pleased with the grades (I am crossing everything that can be crossed on my body). If he feels the coin has a full 8" mirrors I will be more than happy to resubmit the coin to PCGS and see what they feel about the coin, and if it is "so called Zerbe dies" I think PCGS does attribute them. I was hoping he would be 100% pleased with this submission but the only thing good I can find is he didn't get a body bag like he was affraid of on the 1921 and the 1892 quarter came back the same grade as it was graded by ANACS (when he said he would be expecting anything from AU-53 up). So I am sorry SuperDave that the Morgan didn't get the DPL designation but maybe NCS did some magic on the coin where PCGS may feel it warrants it, we will see I guess

Bryan, I take it the VAM-81's MS-64 met your expectations? I know you put a lot of work into finding it.
Overall, looks like a good return!

I will let you know when I see the coin, it had dark toning and I am awaiting to see how well NCS did on it. I am not expecting miracles and expecting to see a blast white coin because there is no way to take a coin with so much dark toning and make it blast white without damaging the coin

I'm a (relatively) happy camper. The most important thing was getting the Barber crossed at grade. When I get them back, I'll see if I can't do up a set of pics to show you all just how reflective the Morgan actually is. Bryan can testify - I am honestly surprised that it didn't make DPL. The 1921 is definitely a Zerbe Die piece - I'm sure of the attribution - but only ANACS attributes that VAM. It may be that this one's gonna get cracked for resubmit - it's a $100 coin in MS63PL, and a $1000 coin in MS63DPL.
