Looks like the discoloration is where the plastic from the 2x2 is touching...is that an old 2x2...or has it been subjected to temperature changes, humidity, etc ?

I don't think it has had any temperature changes nor Humidity no humidity here.

and the 2x2 holder are Brand New and I took pictures prior to putting it in the holder and the coin looked the exact same as it does in the 2x2 holder.

It looked that way when I pulled it out of the roll.

looks to be slight rub maybe... that Lincoln has got some shine... If it wasn't the fact of the D mintmark, it almost looks like a proof... ... just a humble opinion tho,

I don't know if it is a rub cause there are no marks on it or scratches. I do not know tho that is why I am looking for opinions.

and in person it mirrors like it just came off the line.

Here are more pictures that I just took and I took it out of the 2x2 for you all.

MS64. Nice coin. Roll find? I found a pretty nice '61-D yesterday as well, similar qualities with the liquid-like appearance.

It appears to me to be almost mint state but got a teeny tiny bit of exposure to circulation. I would give your cent an AU58. Nice find!

if I were you I would not send that in for grading. save your free grading for when you have a coin worth getting graded. That 61 d is in nice condition, but they do not carry any premium really so you won't get much for it. Later when you get some great coins, you will be wishing you didnt waste your free gradings!
