Not cleaned as someone claimed, but I don't think it's FB. Better pics will tell.

That's a great find. I would have to say it's not a FB but not by much. The middle band has some wear but I'm not a pro.

Nice find. Soak it in acetone for a couple minutes, see if that crap on it comes off.

I don't see any luster breaks, so MS61 as it sits now. No FB designation.

so is it completely safe to soak or use a q-tip to try to remove the glue with acetone? or will it wash out the luster possibly or not? I dont want to ruin it

I've never used acetone, but from what I understand, if you soak the coin (not scrub) and rinse with distilled water afterwards, the luster and original finish of the coin will be OK.

And IMO, it will help this coin quite a bit.

NICE find!

ok I dropped it in acetone for like 2 seconds and the glue came right off. then rinsed it in water. also got a better pic of the bands, which I want to believe are FULL SPLIT! in hand I can see a line on the middle band. how distinct does that middle band have to be?

SD, I would not have used tap water...too late :-O
You can re-dip in acetone, then rinse with distilled water. The minerals found in tap water can spot the coin eventually.
By the way, stunning find!
I think it would make FB and not FSB.

Where can you get distiller water? Dumb question I know. Also what do you think it would be worth if given FB distinction?
