Not only are you now happy but think of all the people that have been pulling them out of change for a long, long time and you beat them to that one.

Those "S" mints are considered "common", and I don't believe there is any premium on them whatsoever. (unless of course you get a reallly high MS quality on one)
I filled some coin tubes of them, and then stopped keeping them. I pitch back all the ones I find now, unless in a really appealing grade. If you search enough Cents, you will find more than you can store of these too.

Sorry, I don't mean to be the bubble-burster here.....but they are VERY common to be found in the wild.....
You'll find more of these S mints in a box, than you will Wheats.

Does anyone else find a ton of 1974 S LMC? I find one every other day on average. I thought they were a relatively high mintage, but they're not.

Nice find. Keep searching, you'll find more. From the small acorn grows the great oak tree.

Hi, eric, Yes.. I find the 'S' mints fairly common too, and I live in Canada.

If you want a couple more send me your address, I have 2 or 3 rolls of them.

If it's your first S, then yeah it can be pretty exciting. But like others have mentioned, these are the common ones. Still, better than finding 1973 D's.

I have almost $50 worth of circulated 68-74 S-mint memorials. I keep every one I find.

I'm pretty sure they won't be worth much more than face value in my lifetime. Or in my childrens lifetime.

I have a granddaughter now.

The coins probably won't be worth all that much in her lifetime either. But she'll know what they are...and where they came from...and hopefully, she'll impart that knowledge upon her children and grandchildren.

Nothing, just that I find 73 D's way too often for my liking...
