Whoa, was that statement from the seller or Delcampe? If it is from the seller, what is Delcampe doing? Any action? Can you return the coins? Or risking for loosing them all? Please let us know the outcome. This kind of situation I worried about. At least ebay will do something.

This is from the seller.. their response to my concerns about the grade and damages.... claim about VF on sale.. Obverse looked VF and maybe VF plus from picture.. paid 75% of trends which included a very high Euro dollar shipping fee ... winning bid on the auction coin that I got is a VG with initials scratched into the reverse. I don't plan on trusting to send this back... nor will I take a chance on Delcampe auction again. I am not expecting Delcampe to do much either but have emailed them ... at least it was a faily cheap lesson learned... only out $22 at least.

No response from Delcampe at this point and the 2nd coin arrived today... nice little Vicky cent a VF 30 like in the picture... except the reverse is badly corroded... something the seller just somehow forgot to mention ... no there was no picture of the reverse so my bad.. but... again a cheapish lesson at $8 but 2 strikes and I am out of Delcampe as a buyer... disabled my profile and won't bother to go back to see if they ever do respond to my complaint. First seller of course gave me 0% feedback for daring to complain.

Hello,
I am sorry to read you had a bad (first) experience on our site. Did you give an accurate feedback to your seller ?
On Delcampe, we have 99.8% of positive feedbacks left. Of course, problems are always possible, but our team can efficiently help you. Did you contact them ? What did they reply ?
Best regards, Seb Delcampe

As noted.. I contacted your team and never heard anything back... after 3 days waiting I disabled all my settings with Delcampe as 2 transactions with sellers that refused to do anything but call me names when I complained leads me to beleive that future transactions would not be any better. There are way too many other options to find coins etc that I want so have no reason to try Delcampe a 3rd time. At least ebay will respond to an issue in a reasonable time frame.

Dear Marjonbc,
Our support replies to all emails. Your contact was probably misdirected. Did you use our contact form or did you send and email to info@delcampe.com ?
Please, send me a copy of your contacts at sebastien@delcampe.com and we will check what happened and give you a reply.
Note that I am not trying to force you to stay with us. I understand that such a bad experience does not encourage you to use our site again. I just want to check what happened because quality of our service is important to us.
Thank you.

I buy over Delcampe for a while now and I am very happy no problem so far. I put a few ads recently and does not charge a commission for placing ads as ebay.

Resurrecting this old thread...
Thinking about doing some business through this platform. Any more recent experience with Delcampe Auctions among the community members?

Since I joined, I have occasionally being doing business (=buying) on this platform. All in all, I can't complain.

I've bought there and know a few people that buy regularly, but have to admit I've stopped looking just because I don't have the time. It's very similar to ebay and I suspect there may be deals to be had if someone searches often, but I guess I've become lazy.

Quote: Thinking about doing some business through this platform. Any more recent experience with Delcampe Auctions among the community members? I've been a Delcampe member for over 2 years. Great website with majority of sellers based outside the US. Most of my transactions have been philately related that support my numismatic interests. This was one of my purchases. A President Eisenhower's Portugal visit postal cover that was franked in-country. Date matches historical records of his visit to Portugal U.S. Mint medal identified as Gomez DDE-C2-03. Redacted memo from Director of the Mint to the White House documenting the medals and mintages. Note Portugal stated mintage is 250. Thread about these U.S. Mint medal. https://goccf.com/t/239394Why the philately and numismatic mix? Both offer the opportunity for exhibits. An item on my bucked list is to prepare a single exhibit that can place in both a philately and numismatic exhibit show.
