@Danester There is an option to send money via gift in Paypal. This option does not charge the seller the 3% sales fee, nor does it charge the buyer. However, make sure you trust the seller, you are not covered under their buyer protection when using this option.

Danester, get cracking with some posts...took me a while to get enough to sell, but it's worth it. So far, nothing but the best experiences with selling and buying on CCF. When you are ready to sell, drop me a line.

Hold it! I honestly think I have a better solution than a refiner or ebay... APMEX isn't bad, likely better than ebay or midwest, but my favorite place is provident metals. They will pay you about 98% of melt value for the 90%, and 94-95% for the 40%, and all you have to do is pay registered shipping to them. You'll get a check in a week or so after shipping. ebay fees are way high. 90% is way low. Provident is awesome.

Jimineez, thanks for bringing up the Provident metals option. Their sight clearly outlines what they will pay for metal items. My desire of liquidating my 40% looks good here. Is there a registration or membership fee involved with using them?

Wow, that is good pricing...
Have you sold to them personally, or just read the website and are passing along some good information?

Oh well Fredd, so much for that plan. I hate it when a plan "does not" come together, to steal a quote from Hannibal on A-team, lol.... What about with gold Fredd? Seems like those little 3/4 a gram Liberia coins I have would be subject for much melt? I know the three I bought, the dealer told me he was happy someone one get them that appreciates them for what they are, instead of having to melt them down. I don't see many on ebay anyway, and if many of those get melted, who knows. Unlikely, but one just never knows what the future may bring eh....

Thanks, Silverhawk. Good buy on that "junk" for your collection. I agree with you that it will look great once it is cleaned up a little. How about posting a pic of that?

COC/knowns (check on confirmation to known dealers) is standard operating procedure in the industry. If it wasn't, the business would grind to a halt.
Everyone on the 600-dealer system had to be recommended by someone already on it, and agree to pay within 48 hours, unless terms of the deal were otherwise. Violate that, and you're gone.
On bullion/scrap deals, COC meant as soon as you confirmed how much you're sending, the other party sends a check, and they cross in the mail. This also could be used for drop shipping, where dealer A buys from dealer B and the coins are shipped to dealer C. A sends B a check, and C sends A a check, while B sends C the loot.
After a run of uneventful transactions, the dealer I mentioned sent me the usual fast check, and it bounced. I went on broadcast and asked what was going on. Another dealer said he knew the one I was selling to was having money problems, just relax and he'd take care of it.
He drove 30 miles to the other dealer, said "Bigg Fredd's my bud, and you don't screw my bud." He picked up the $4000 or so in cash, and mailed me a bank check.
Think of it as feedback with teeth.
I had another dealer, in PA, who I sold a bag or two of silver a week. I'd call him friday evening and get a buy price good until monday noon. I'd buy over the weekend at a show(s), then call him monday to let him know how much was coming.
By thursday, I'd have his check, and typically, he'd have the silver. We'd confirm receipts on friday's call and do it all over.
