Maybe it's people like that eBayer who believe the world should have ended... yesterday.

I don't think that she'll be bringing the Cole Slaw to the MENSA picnic any time soon.

Wow... that's all I can say... just, wow. On the bright side, I can earn $200 ebay Bucks if I place the minimum bid. What a steal!

Yes, what a steal.

Dear ebay Member,

Thank you for writing ebay to report this potentially violating listing
to us.

I have thoroughly investigated your report, and have confirmed that the
item was in violation of the ebay Selling Coins policy. As such, I have
removed the listing from the ebay site.

If you happen to see any listings you may feel violate our Coins and
Currency policies, we encourage you to report them via the Report Item
link in the listing. This ensures that we can get the reports to the
most appropriate department in a timely manner.

Please see the following page for ebay's policies regarding the sale of
coins:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies...g-coins.html

Please be sure to check our Prohibited, Questionable & Infringing Items
pages for information on ebay listing policies and guidelines:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/items-ov.html

Again, thank you for your report. We appreciate your help in keeping
ebay a safe and reputable forum to conduct business.

Sincerely,
ebay Customer Support

Easiest way to get an auction yanked is to specify the ebay rule being violated

Message: Coin is categorized as being certified by PCGS but no pictures
of the coin in the PCGS holder are present.

Coins listed as being certified must have pictures of both sides of the holder pictured in the listing. If the auction had been listed as a raw coin, ebay probably would not have yanked it.

I missed it, too. I was really looking forward to an amusing read with the crescendo of comments left here.

I came too late to the party and missed it too.

Oh, well. I get the gist of what was going on...nothing new though, considering it was on ebay.

I've really enjoyed the jokes that everyone is making, though. Especially the 'Numis attic' crack.

You didn't read all the ....Stuff. They said the S was over by the 8.

THE FRST THING I NOTICED NEXT TO OR ADJACENT TO THE "8" WITH THE DATE 1958 A DETAILED WEAK-STRIKE IMAGE OF THE TRADITIONAL "S" MINTMARK WHICH HAS THE "SERIF" OR BALL ON ONE END OF THE MINTMARK.

For those of you who came late and didn't get to read it, I do have a copy of the "description". I won't post it here because too many of us already have bleeding eyes, but if you want to see it let me know. Warning it is almost three pages of run on words, few sentences or punctuation and all in caps. With plenty of mis-spellings for your reading enjoyment.
Rest in Peace

Just a note to the wise:

The anonymity of the Interwebs brings out the nutcases.

Keep in mind that nutcases can hire lawyers--in fact, they're far more likely to than sane people.

Check deja for "fish monger" under rec.collecting.coins. Mr. Pariah Grading Service got tired of everyone pointing that out, so he went to the ANA convention and served anyone he could find. I know one guy it cost $5000 in legal feez just to get removed from the nonsense suit.
