You gotta love the guy's sense of salesmanship and humor! He's got 282 hits, so he's drawing them in like bees to nectar. Somehow, I don't thing they're coming in to look at the silver. Ich bin ein Berliner? Kennedy would have been proud!

I have been buying a number of coins from two different ebay sellers. One that takes terrible pictures and one that scans all their coins. Both have a good return policy. There coins are going for very low prices just because of the bad pics.I have doubled my money on almost every coin I have purchased from them just because of picture quality.I know the one that takes bad pics is not doing it on purpose, like some seedy sellers do.Either they have a poor camera or they do not know how to use it.They have 100% positive feedback.I think she has started to figure it out thou,on the last coin I sold that I had bought from her,she email me and just said Holy Cow! I have an 1886-O Morgan coming from the scan coin seller that looks MS from the scan. Can't wait to get it. True Clean Pictures can make ALL the difference if the coin is good.

Terry, I also having been watching auctions by a seller with really bad images (much too bright to see very much detail) who also seems honest. His coins sell for much less than they should. I've been in touch with him to advise him he would get a lot more for his coins if he had better images, but he said that's the best he could do with his scanner. He's been warned. I haven't yet bid on any since I haven't seen anything I want at the moment, but knowing that others won't bid because of the poor pics, it's a good strategy to follow.

It crazy, because the money they lose on just a few coins would pay for a decent camera.I also told the one seller that her pictures were no doing her coins justice.(my guilt complex kicked in)She just thanked me and raised her starting prices. Now I believe she will have coins that people won't bid on because the coin pics are so blurry and the starting price is high. Ooooohhhh, I love those kind of auctions! The start price scares off other bidders and they just sit there until I snipe them and get them for peanuts (relatively speaking). Some people just don't take good advice very kindly. Their loss, my gain. <icon for greed>

The French Lady Liberty needs a face lift. She's got an ugly scowl and a bit of a Cro-Magnon brow.

I'd be disingenuous if I claimed that wasn't every bit as awful. But if you don't mind, I'd prefer to save my derisive comments for the French.

Whilst I am obliged to dislike any frenchspeaking belgian by birhtright since they surpressed and enslaved the flemish for more then 140 years after the 1830 independence ; I have nothing but affections for the real french They love wine and food and women and gold not necessarily in that order ; but I can understand all of that Can you admit the 5$ is not the biggest or the best in the world
