AU-50 or 53, the details are stronger but it looks like its been lightly messed with in the past. Thus, I think they 'net graded' it lower. Might just be the pics though.

Very nice coin! The obverse is beautiful! Looks AU-50-ish, reverse appears to have toned over an old cleaning from the pics.

Nice coin, Moe! When are you going to show the entire date run, 1866/1891. It looks to have an old cleaning, but retoned nicely. AU-58.

Moe, Kinda thinking guessing AU58 unless MS63, 64 or 65.

I think I covered that one nicely.

Very nice half. Thanks for sharing.

I'm gonna say AU-53, seems like there is a touch of wear on the high points. Beautiful coin!

And the answer is:

1885-Seated-Liberty-Half-Dollar-For-Grading

and for those who don't know (or forgot):

ANACS No Grade Codes (I think they're the same for PCGS...)

No Grade codes

82 Filed Rims
83 Peeling Lamination
84 Holed and Plugged
90 Not Genuine
91 Questionable Color
92 Cleaning
93 Planchet Flaw
94 Altered Surfaces
95 Scratch / Rim Dent
96 Refund - No Service
97 Environmental Damage
98 Damage
99 PVC Residue

I'm not sure what they were talking about. I see a nice AU-55-58 coin with no problems. Maybe the grader was having a bad day?

If I cared about the grade I would definitely re-submit this one!

Thanks for playing! Watch for others!
