So much excitement on this thread. My best wheat find going through bank rolls is a 1914S. Really, when you think about it, 4 cents is only about 1 cent over melt. Still, I saw that auction on ebay last week for a roll with a 1922 on the end,$650 for one roll of wheat pennies!

If you go through enough you find them more often.
I have been sorting two to four boxes a week. I can't imagine how much this person must have sorted to acquire that load of wheats though. I am currently getting ready to ramp up to 8 boxes a week, but have to get an account at a bank that takes bagged coin. I simply can't stand returning $100 worth of zincs at the coinstar machine (even though my bank doesn't charge for it's use)

Quote: Should I be keeping either the small or large 1928s?
BOTH! The large S is the rarer of the two.

WOW! You work FAST! That's a helluv a lotta coins to screen. Congrats on your finds, you definately found some nice ones. Those were some amazing bags and appear to be the ultra rare "unsearched" based on what you found. NICE!

I would keep out all the pre-1930 branch mints, those would be worth ~ 50 cents each in bulk, don't toss them in with the commons!
