Yes, I will take from danlos9551 and use the sneaky technique and try for 750 and if they are reluctant I will price it down.

Thanks a lot guys!

Good luck! Market is a bit slow right now...people are stingy...it may take some patience...but hold firm...its a nice unique coin you have there...

I have a similar coin, but mine is a dollar, struck onto a 1c planchet.

I have no idea what its worth.

What dollar series? Loon dollar? Nickel dollar?

The loon dollar looks like it's struck on a blank larger than a cent planchet. What's it's weight? Is it magnetic? Other possibilities would be - struck on a blank intended for a foreign coin, or an elliptical clipped dollar blank.

I'm not sure what it's worth. Hundreds. A nice big error coin!

I think it was just flattened out when it was struck.

Unfortunately, I don't have a scale to weigh the coin that would be accurate enough, and the coin is not magnetic.

Could you expand on this? I am not sure what an elliptical clipped dollar blank is.

An elliptical clip error is the result of a blank that has been accidentally clipped into a football shape. Your coin being non-magnetic probably rules out the elliptical clip option.

I'd guess $500-$750. Possibly a bit more if it really catches someone's fancy :)

Both very nice errors, I have one from 1980, 25 cent struck on a penny planchet..The person I bought it from had it since the 1980's.
