I would be interested in getting a few if you are prepared to sell them in small batches. I'm note a big note collector but do like to have some issues of the smaller bills of different countries as at some stage they are replaced by coinage.

Wayne in Brisbane, Australia.

Wayne, I'll contact you when my email is working. The rest I'll put up in auction or trade around the same time.

Brissyboy they were at a point where you hardly ever saw a 2 dollar bill in circulation, but I have pretty much changed that in my area because I have probably put $10,000.00 in 2 dollar bills into circulation in the past year. They are slowly makiong their way into circulation I think because everyone that used to get them would hold onto them and now they realized with holding onto them for all these years they are still only worth about $2.00 and since times are so tough now they are spending them. Thingee if you want to sell some consecutive 2 dollar bills I would be interested in them either way you want to go about getting rid of them (auction or a trade or straight out purchase)

Thanks Thingee and thanks Bryan1315.

On my travels at different times, I have put away some nice crisp uncirculated notes of low denominations and of course now, we have the UK, Canada, Australia, NZ and many others with coins and no notes of those values and in Europe, the Euro replaced their national currencies. It makes it interesting collecting and nice for a stroll down memory lane at same time. Wayne

Brissyboy - Just to clarify things a little and make sure you know...the last series of US $2 note to carry any design OTHER than the signing of the Declaration of Independence was a 1963 series $2 note. ALL of the notes produced since 1976 have had the same back design, with the sole difference on the notes being the series date next to the vignette of Jefferson on the front.

From your initial post I drew a very small hint that you may not know this and thought to post it just in case you did not.

Thankyou, you were correct, I did not know the design had not changed since 1976 issue. As I have not since one since 1976 (and no idea if my note of then is still in my position), I couldn't even tell you what they looked like. This is why I certainly would like a few for my collection and appreciate this opportunity.

Wayne and Bryan, I haven't forgotten you. My AOL trial membership ends tomorrow and I'm waiting for my disc from my new ISP this week, (I hope) or next week. I'm pretty sure things will work out with my email then. I had AOL at my previous home and never had any problems whatsoever. Since my move in August I've had 4 different servers and had so many problems with them. Mostly they took more than their share of payments from my account. Fortunately I got all my $ back (after so much hassling back and forth!} I so hope everything goes well this time around. Anyway, I get back to you both.

Brissyboy, I sent you an email a few days ago about the $2 notes. Have you gotten it? I'll send you another one just in case.
