I shouldn't poke fun at it really. I was in my basement standing on a huge concrete slab in my socks and I can tell you without a doubt that the slab was moving almost an inch back and forth. It was a very unsettling feeling and makes you seriously think what a "real" earthquake can do.

sitting at my grandmas in central pennsylvania......whole house shook for at least 15-20 seconds..........first time experience for me......don't need to feel it ever again!!!

Felt it pretty good here in Northeast PA. I had the day off and was reading the Numismatic News. I had to laugh when I read about the cats knowing it was coming. My lazy dog didn't even lift her head while it was happening. |

Didn't feel anything here where I am in Central Pa, I was out mowing grass but my mother and aunt just up the road both felt it a little where they work. Talked to some family in southern pa, both felt it pretty good. My cousins whole office shook where she works.

Felt it here in central NJ, but barely anything. The water in my glass wobbled a bit, and things vibrated slightly. It felt very, very strange even though it didn't do much of anything. The dog in the apartment upstairs freaked out though.

I figured, I wasn't trusting the information. Thank you. We had another one last night, a 4.5 if I remember correctly. No damage in my area. They are still checking the Washington Monument from the 5.8, it cracked near the top from what the news said last night.

The news said it was even felt in Chicago. I never knew it even happened. Might have been those Martini's.

Yeah East Coast earthquakes have a huge area that can feel them compared to California. The same earthquake in California could hit San Fransisco and not be felt in Sacramento.

I felt one about 6 months ago, here in Quebec, I was alone at the house, it lasted a minute. When my family came home, they didn't know there had been an earthquake and I was bragging about it, lol. (mag. 5,7)
