Very nice find. I'm a bit of a War Nickel guy. I have about 200, but no 43-d's. I intend to grab on off the bay soon.

I will definitely be picking up some nickels tomorrow. What else should I keep a look out for when roll searching nickels?

Buffalo nickels are about as common as War Nickels (at least for me), and V nickels show up now and then. 1950, 1950-D, 1939-D/S and 1938-D/S are scarce dates. A lot of people just keep everything from before 1960. There are several doubled dies and repunched mintmarks, and always keep an eye out for errors.

Yea I always keep an eye out for errors thats mainly what I'm looking for. I found a dime recently that was published in Coin World that I sold for a good amount of $$ so now I am on the lookout. I have seen quite a bit of error nickels on here that I wouldnt mind having.

Not an error, but a variety you may or may not be aware of is the 1990 "no FS" (it doesn't have the designer's initials under Jefferson's bust).

Great for you .... nice find.

I've been through a few nickel rolls ... and find a War Silver on average every 73 rolls.

Looking forward to hearing of your future finds.

Ok so earlier I got 5 rolls from the local liquor store. I found the War Nickel from above and also found a 46-s, 41, and a 40-s... Keepers?
