Congrats on your purchase. I love hearing about the 1916-D Dime. I found one years ago in a house I was renovating for my boss and never knew the value until a little while ago. Check out the one I got for free..lol
Ignore the reverse picture, when the forum changed servers, the reverse picture got swapped out with a Morgan.

Congratulations "coincrazed". Honestly, I think that was a phenomonal buy. That AG looks very high end for the grade, bordering on G-4; and that's exactly how you want to buy them! And $400? SCORE!

nice buy -- I would've jumped on that deal. Looks like a little bit of a rotated die, too.

Does it look that good to you? I am always a bit afraid I'm making a bad decision, LOL. It's great to see ya again Johnny my man. I finally got the coin I wanted and I appreciate all the advice and wisdom you gave me on picking it up.

@LTmets, is that coin damaged or is it clipped? It looks weird.

I forced my camera to take pics on a low battery cause I felt bad having to let you guys wait so long to see pics and only see the low light, crappy ones on NGC that don't do the coin justice. Now what do y'all think about the coin after you've seen it in better light?

Your pics show a great coin for that price. The rim wear barely encroaches into the date, and the mintmark is fully visible. Nice, nice.

Now that I see those pics, I agree. That is very close to being a G4. A different grader and it might have made that. VERY nice pick up.

I would be tempted to crack it out and resubmit it. Although I'd still consider it AG, it looks as strong as many G-4s I've seen. There is always the chance that they netted the grade somehow, but it looks good to me!
