That's a pretty cool idea Force !
And a nice first one to have too ......

But I need to finish some of the 16,547 albums I already have going right now, before I try this great idea for a short set of these ! ....

Looking forward to seeing progress pictures too !

That one definitely loos like a beauty. That little series is one of the things I was planning on putting up for trade or sell once I get the posts/time required. Does anyone think I could get $70 worth.

This series of silver proofs have crazy low mintages. In fact the mintage of this 1994-S silver proof has a lower mintage than the 1931-S Lincoln Cent!

@TheForce - while this is true, the difference is nearly none of the 1994-S quarters ever made it to circulation. Therefore the typical condition of one of the quarter is going to be PR65-70 for the rest of our lifetimes. I'm not especially keen on the price inflation of modern proofs unless its tied to the value of the metal- the populations of the higher grades will steadily go up as they get graded by third parties.

That being said, go for it! I love my Washington quarter collection. I sold my 1932-D as I wanted an MS-65+ set and decided not to carry any coin below that grade - even if it meant my collection would have holes.

I've been considering trading for a 65 if I can find one I like.

I suspect that is an exageration by a few hundred.

As a silver coin collector I had the foresight to purchase the silver proof sets from the mint and have the full collection from 1992. The drawback is the sets are intact and it is cumbersome to view all of them.

I say go for the air tights, Its great protection, and if you feel like holding the actual coin in your hand you can open them up. I love not having to worry about marking them up, that oops factor is greatly reduced. Smart Choice IMO

Is there some sort of presentation for air-tites to easily display?

For my proofs I found some black cards that have holes to fit the air-tites. There are boxes with dividers that hold the cards which hold the air-tites. They do make the coins look nice... Black velvet-like cloth.

I'm hesitant to put any proofs in my Danscos, so keep all of my proofs in air-tites. I'll try to find a link or at least post some pics tomorrow.

The only silver proof quarter I have is the 2008 Oklahoma. My home state plus the reverse is beautiful. I'd definitely like to have more since the one I have looks so nice.

Gorgeous! Congrats on a great buy. And curse you for planting a bad, bad seed in my head. :)
