I bought this many years ago listed as an 1882 3 cent nickel. I wasn't sure, but I figured for $25 I could pretend it is one to complete my 1882 circulating coin collection. What do you think? Do you think the date says 1882 or way too far gone to tell?

Do you think it's worth sending the coin for conservation/restoration?

Looks like a 2 to me.

I don't think a TPG that offers restoration service will touch it.
Try it yourself if you feel confident.

I agree. It's a 2. It would definitely get the details grade.
