Business Strike Ike with some possible doubling. I think I see quite a few serif splits on In God We Trust and not as noticeable possible doubling on Liberty.

I think that you are correct. fatter then normal letters and split serifs.

Have you tried to match it up with any other known attributes?

You should carefully take it out of the plastic flip and get better images.
Try to match it up to 1971-S WHO-001s

See if you can find any markers.

I honestly am not that familiar with Ike dollars. I know there have been some attributes. I haven't found anything similar but haven't really dug in. Got this coin yesterday and noticed. Guess I have some reading to do haha.

Could be WHO-001 as Dearborn said. Neat find.

Are you sure that this is a business strike? the reverse looks like proof surfaces and squared rims. Perhaps an impaired proof?

I considered it but it is a type 1 reverse and I'm not that lucky lol! Rims are square though.

I completely overlooked the style of earth. You are indeed correct with type 1 so that does make it a business strike. VV only lists a couple of business strike DDO's but many others in proof. Best of luck matching yours up.

I'm going to a coin show in December so I'll bring it along and see what the people way more experienced than me say. Fingers crossed. I will say that the closest I was able to find to the doubling was on a proof. But again, not an expert remotely on Ike dollars.
