Help Me Identify This 1/10 Gold Coin Please

rosariomorgan New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 12:20 am I have a 1/10 gold coin I purchased in 1986-1987 from a small local coin dealer. I recently started looking into it and thought it was a gold eagle, but it looks like a Saint Gaudens gold coin. I could not find any reference on the internet on a 1/10 Saint Gaudens been made. I believe that some of those were made of gold, but it is more likely that you have a gold plated mini-copy of a coin and it is unfortunately not worth much, if anything. biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 01/25/2012 01:33 am Unfortunately, I think that dealer ripped you off with a plated small size replica of a Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle- notice the date of 1908. I would weigh it immediately, it should be 3.393 grams. If it is light, I would recommend taking it to a coin shop that can test for gold content. Report this Post to the Staff
