One is very nice while the other is a little pitted. But I did try to clean it up some. I think your coin may benefit from a light cleaning. Report this Post to the Staff

Gil-galad Pillar of the Community United States 2044 Posts	Posted 03/01/2012 1:39 pm I am by no means an expert at cleaning but my thoughts are that I would only think about cleaning the coin if the legend, portrait and reverse design are not too worn and high enough relief that once you remove the dirt the details will be there. If the color is spot on in-hand to the photo, I think I like the green colored patina and would leave it as is. Otherwise, if not, as JW said a light non-aggressive cleaning would do.
