Is anybody buying the individual $1 coin from the 1812 set? I'm think I might be able to score a good price on the dollar and I see they're selling on ebay for $100+

I have thought about it. I have set around $90 as my target price. I picked up the loonie and toonie in pre-sale auctions for $22.00 and $18.50.

I think my deal is $70 and I might try and lower him?

$70 sounds like a pretty good deal. Only a few dollars more than the Silver BU and Silver Proof!

People seem to be cracking open cases left right and centre. The pennies are selling for almost as much as the $1 you're looking at. If you divide the values of the set by the weight of each coin the $1 is worth about $85, the $2 $30, the Loonie $24 and the penny $8.50 but I've seen the penny selling in the $60-$70 range.

I got my $1 for $83.96, free shipping, no-HST (as all the coins in this set are bullion) but I've lost over a dozen in the higher 80's to mid 90's. Even seen a couple go for $100+ earlier before so many were being listed.
