Hi Guys

i was given a bag of coins towards my coin collection and found this york half penny inside, I'm pretty sure its a token.

i was wonder if anyone knew anything about it?

also is it a real token or a reproduction?

and is it worth anything?

tokens are not my thing only collection british coins.

i read somewhere that it there maybe only 200 impressions of this token were struck

here are pictures of the token

Here's another example of Yorkshire 69 in copper(from Dalton & Hamer's (D&H) reference). Yours looks like a real example in brass or gilt to me. The edge matches D&H's description. The images seem to show wear on the obverse (cheek) and reverse (lions) and other handling marks that would tend to reduce its value.

yours would appear to be a modern re-strike of the original article.
It's good enough, that I'm wondering if it was made with the original dies ...
this type of token circulated for a few decades, due to chronic shortages of genuine coins. Many were made at Conder's mint, and they are generically called "Conders", although there were other manufacturers. There were hundreds of designs, and collectors snap the originals up.
