Hi all,

Quick question regarding radars.

I've so far found two from circulation, a $5 and $20 - both 3 digit radars (without 0s or 1s). Both are circulated, but in relatively decent condition(crease in the middle, a little bit of creasing here and there but mostly fine)

I'd definitely hold onto the $5 just because its neat to have either way, but my question is: in general, is it worth holding onto circulated radars? Do/will these things, in their condition, have value to them?

Thanks!

You could always sell/trade it at face value to somebody who really wants it.

Or give it away to a YN and make some youngster really happy!

It's a banknote with a fancy serial number that reads the same forwards as backwards. Some are quite desirable and can get a nice premium from some collectors.

eg. 4124214 or 1212121 (which is also a binary repeater radar)

i will say keep it ~ For my options The Bad Condition = Takes Long time to Glow the Value on it.

maybe after another 50 years .. that radar note will become much more collector values

Over the years I have found a number of 3-4 digit radars and Journey series sheet replacement insert notes. These I usually return back into circulation.

If you look at the catalog value for these notes there does not seem to be any premium unless they are in UNC condition.

You could put them on ebay but make sure that you list for more than face because after ebay and Paypal fees you will probably sell at a loss. You have to list the $20 for about $24 before you see any profit.

I don't think that they will be worth much more than face value. If the note is EF-UNC then I would hang onto it.
