Interesting article Lax. Thanks for sharing. Plus it included a better estimate of how many of these things were minted. I just need to find that thread in which everyone was talking about numbers now.

Bobby, is "permalink" the new superglue of the internet?

tights24, regarding your ."no good deed goes unpunished".perhaps , and : indeed in the common 'here -N- now' tis surely true. thou , you may AVE 'missed 'is : "acceptably" : except : to say 'in the (perhaps) ' here after ' the good deed is not rewarded ? zipping lip -0- mine. please for give me .towards the topic : weak "strikes" are just that.. "weak strikes".as more 'mint attention "maybe" given to 'correcting' this. perhaps (if the mint indeed) takes 'corrective measures and 'corrects this; than maybe these 'earlier "weak strikes" will attain a premium value. for now it's a wait n see ... just my opinion others will certainly 'vary' .. I did not see the original post, but I would say that Bobby probably changed a tiny url to the full url. Tiny url's only work for a limited amount of time.

I was merely commenting on his choice of words, "permalink". Just thought it funny is all.

Errorfinder, I'm going to have to give you one of these . I am not interpreting your comment to me in the slightest bit, and without Superdave's decoder ring that he uses during times like these, I doubt I will understand a second explanation from you if it's in the same format.

That being said, my signature line is really only a different way of listing Murphy's Law as it always applies to me....

Both of these comments are way off topic though, and the article is very interesting to say the least.

Permalink Explained

Permalink is actually blogspeak. Each item in a blog has a link that is specific to that item. Most people don't realize that coins.about.com is a blog because of the way it's laid out.

Laxmaster had linked to http://coins.about.com/, however the second Susan Headley would make a new post to the site, the article he *intended* to link to would be bumped down. Shortly, it wouldn't even be on the page any more confusing people clicking on the link.

All I did was change his link to http://coins.about.com/b/a/000083.htm so that years from now it will still link to the right place.

Class dismissed. No homework.

Thank you. Learning a new thing everyday is awesome, whether it's completely coin related or not. Have you ever considered an IT directors position? They are six figures easily!!!!!
