I have a question, how is this possible? The planchet must be a dime one due to the coloring. However, it is penny size as the penny design fits onto the planchet perfectly. As opposed to the dime design which is a bit small on the planchet......

I believe I have seen this coin on ebay throughout the years and the seller (I am hoping not you and if so we can understand the praising of ACG like you have been because that is what this coin resides in) for stupid money because they believe it is the only 11 cent coin out there when in fact they are all over the place and sell for ALLOT less than the seller is wanting. Actually Ken Potter actually wrote up a website explaining how the Coins came to be here http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...xplained.htm . We have even had one on this forum posted by a member that found it at a K-mart while working there. Even though the pictures do not show up any longer you can see their avatar and see what the coin looked like http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...OPIC_ID=9642

This is a great error, and as Bryan said, there are a lot of them out there. Simply put, the struck dimes got mixed in with cent planchets, or cent planchets with struck dimes, and were struck with cent dies. They can be found on many, many dates and mintmark combinations, even up to coins produced in the last five years.

when I said what I said about the seller on ebay, if I remember correctly they were trying to sell it for $250,000.00 and its not worth anything near that and I hope this new member didn't buy it for that price because the sellers "unique" claims

This is what I found to Coin Fact Encyclopedia/PCGS

COIN FACT ENCYCLOPEDIA/ERROR: DOUBLE DENOMINATION ERRORS
One of the most expensive, popular, and desired types of errors are the double denominations. This error happens when a coin is struck on a previously struck coin of another denomination. Examples are a cent on a struck dime, and a nickel on a struck cent. The most dramatic are those with considerable design visible from the original strike.

I also attached the close up of the other date 1995 of a dime.
Thank you all for looking.

elevencents,

Are you here to talk about coins or promote your coin?

I am confident that I can speak for quite a few members here when I say we have grown weary of hearing about your coin and your grossly overpriced marketing of it.

If you're here to talk about coins, quit promoting it here and talk. Otherwise its time for you and us to go our separate ways.

Even if he changes tack and 'discusses' things with us now, he's already left his SEO bomb littering up the forum. He should keep his "google juice" to himself. :-P

Please... make it stop...

"2 full dates,2 LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST,P Mintmark,VDB,Skull break" etc. etc. is directly from at least two incarnations of the ebay ad and is the exact same string he's already posted on a number of other websites and forums cut-and-paste.

With current ranking algorithms, Google with connect the two.

All of this does absolutely zero SEO for him.

In fact, it could hurt him. We may end up outranking him for his own terms.

If you exclude Youtube, another forum he posted on in April already outranks him. Sheer genius.

There's a very poplar forum (not coins) that I frequent that this happens all the time. They charge $25 to remove your own posts that outrank yourself meself? yourself!.
