Just picked this one up out of an album I bought a bit above spot. Really well-struck coin and definitely FBL I think. Though it does have a carbon spot on the obverse. What would it grade? Thanks

I would say 63-64 but I am not sure about the FBL designation. An area close to the crack in the bell looks like the lines have been bridged IMHO.

Very well struck - what a beauty!

In terms of the bridging are you referring to the top set of bell lines to the left of the crack? They do get mushy there. I have also read somewhere that NGC looks at both sets of lines and PCGS only looks at the bottom set. Can anyone confirm this? If true I don't understand why NGC graded FBL Franklins aren't on par or pricier than ones graded by PCGS.

That is exactly what I am referring to. While I have heard NCG is more stringent, I am not sure PCGS would consider this FBL.
